The people behind the scenes at TipaTipa have always loved the internet and especially enjoyed the fact that it is a great place to pick up a bargain. Despite this we felt a sense of frustration when bargain hunting online because it was frankly too time consuming and rather boring!
Whilst search engines and comparison sites serve a purpose there is no getting away from the human input required. What makes the internet such a great place to find a bargain - it’s sheer size and the level of competition this creates - is also what makes bargain hunting so time consuming and boring! We realised that the only way around this was to find a way for people to pool their time, knowledge and skills to make online bargain hunting quicker, easier and more effective.
TipaTipa is a community website for online bargain hunters. True to the spirit of any community, it costs nothing to ask the community for help. All we ask is that members of the community treat each other with the same respect and courtesy as they would fellow members of a real world community. This includes giving a gratuity when someone provides you with a good service!
TipaTipa is in its infancy but what is already obvious is that many hands really do make light work. As the community grows then so too does our ability to quickly help each other find the right product at the right price. If the community is to continue to grow and improve then it is up to you, the members, to do your bit. It is up to you to spread the word and it is up to you to tell us how we can make things even better. It is your community and we’re just the stewards.
